It looks like the Tropical theme for our next contest won overwhelmingly. The design can be for the face or body. This will run until June 30th or until we get at least 4 members participating. Up to 3 entries per person. Post your entries here and email the pictures as attachments to sherrys.funfaces@gmail.comNo designs please that have been entered in previous contests. We'll have a First Place prize of a $25 shopping spree at Funfacepaint.com. The Runner up can have their choice of one of the DFX Essential Colors. Have fun! |

I was just putting together some samples for tomorrow (eeek - I have to wake up in 4 hours!),
and I came across this old photo that I painted. Ooooh - it looks
Tropical! I remembered the beautiful flowers and beach scenes that I had seen here.
So I put it aside to scan it in:

What a nice big bird. What a nice idea instead of trying to figure out a body along with the 'big eye'.
I'm thinking it might be nice to end it off with 'neck feathers' like I've seen on pictures of Eagles.

A second entry! I kept thinking about tiki masks, so I did some research on different images. This is what I came up with. My older son modeled this time. At the end, he was moving his mouth around and it changed the shape of the tiki's mouth as well. What fun! Thanks for this themed challenge!!!     |

Did you paint it all on a Black Base? Or did you fill in the Black Background between the Flowers?
