Keepin 'm long
« on: June 17, 2011, 12:11:11 AM »

I haven't done balloon twisting in quite a while.
Got a job tomorrow for 2 hours of face-painting followed by one hour of balloon twisting.
Reviewed some simples just now - they look fine.
But I remember that a problem I used to deal with was
keeping the balloons Loooong.   Kid's didn't want to get the short baby-sword.

Do you know the trick for keeping them long?  Any help please?

I've noticed this too and wonder about the balloons sometimes.  I know that the balloons I use are all supposed to be the same size, but some colors appear to make longer swords.

I used to do something like stretching them before blowing them up
or while blowing them up
something

to try to keep 'competitive'.  But I was always at a loss next to the electric-pump people.
And I won't carry one just to have the longest size.  I won't.

Some things, although aghk to do, did help a bit though.
I wish I remembered what they were.

Felt llike bringing up this topic again.  Because I still need help with it.

Yes - I agree that some Colors, and some brands are easier to keep long
(like the basic yellow qualtex 260 - my favorite - I wish they were all like that color.)

But I , lol - dare I become the 'Yellow Balloon Lady'?  That I only come with Yellow Balloons?
You want a sword?  Here's a Yellow One.  A Flower?  Yellow!  A Heart of Yellow.  A Yellow Dog.

For now, though, I really want to get my other colors
Longer.
