Candid Photos
« on: July 01, 2011, 09:01:27 PM »

Hi ~  I just had to laugh.  There I was - exhausted and working a gig without enough sleep.  Two hours of Face-Painting followed by one hour of Balloons.  And my client sent me the following email.  Illustrated:

I was looking at the pictures from the event and realized how great drawing they were. And found your pictures. Hope you could enjoy.
Thank you for your wonderful artwork at the picnic and have a great 4th of July.

Nice Alison... I love it!  Face painting, balloon twisting action pic!   Smiley  I love the one you did on your own face.  Did you do that yourself?  Ha.  Just kidding.   Grin

Thank You Sherry ~
What threw me was the way my figure looked.  My nickname these days is Abs.  Because I'm known for the serious work I do almost every day on my abs at the gym.  And I look longer/slimmer when I look in the mirror.  So when I saw the real me in action, I had to say, okay.  When we pose, when we look in the mirror, this way and that, we can look very different than what people see.  And it's okay.  Got to be able to laugh at ourselves.

Also I was so tired that day - the smile that was glued on my face to work the gig
came out great.  I did a great job.  Still, I looked a bit haggard.  Heat, hair pulled back....
What ever happened to the beautiful woman that men compliment?

And seriously.  I don't like to make it so my hair will feel hard.  I don't like to make it so the hair will break if I run a comb through it.  But I would really like to get that hair to stay down flat.  I had had a Brazilian two years ago - that didn't help.  I had had a Japanese straightening - that worked - If I'd've wanted very straight hair which really looked like crap when it was growing out.  CAN ANYONE SUGGEST HOW I CAN KEEP HER HAIR NEAT AND SMOOTH?  TO LOOK RIGHT WHEN I'M 'ON STAGE'?

Okay guys.  I can't stand having JUST the fun candid photos here.
So I'm going to add some regular photos.

And I think I got better at the hair-care on my own.
I started shampooing less often
and I started running my hand over my hair whenever I think of it
during the day.

BTW, one of these pictures is my avatar - slightly larger.

Ah ha!  Now we can see it!  If only I could figure out how to make those avatars larger.
