More often BEFORE a big gig. But once or twice a week. A week ago, I wanted to practice on a few neighbors, but the number grew. It was fun and I got to try on more designs. I'll post later!

Oh my! You people practice A LOT. Anybody else like me? I might not even practice All Year sometimes. Just perhaps a little, and I do mean little, Review just before a gig if there's time. With Markers on Paper in the car or in a restaurant.
Do you actually take out your whole setup at home? Even for those of us who don't have kids around, perhaps painting on your knees or mannequins?
Do you use the same supplies that you have to keep full for your gigs? Or do you have a duplicate set that you use for practice?

I did it. Because I posted here that I would be doing it. I managed to make One glitter tattoo on myself this week.
Might not seem like much, but it did make a difference. Simply because I felt confident to Quote jobs this week for Glitter Tattoos.
Running up to New Rochelle for today's gig. (I hope I'll get a chance to post a photo of my little tattoo)

Well, it's only been a Half a year, and I practiced again. But now I'm serious - lol. ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN LEARN HOW TO DO GLITTER TATTOOS?
It's another one of those things - where a person thinks "Oh That looks so easy." Having put a few glitter tattoos onto myself (and I think I remember having done one once at a ...... no - another artist put it on Me one time)
So there I was, thinking that all I had to do to add Glitter Tattoos to my repetoire was to put the set together. And then get a job.
All the supplies sitting here for so long, I finally had a situation in which I felt comfortable to offer Glitter Tattoos. A woman had asked me to to Retail Face-Painting at a bar. I don't do Retail. But, hmmmm, I figured this would be a good way to get some confidence in how the situation flows for Glitter Tattoos. So I told her that I could do Glitter Tattoos instead.
Oh. Oh. I planned on embellishing those little stencils. I wasn't going to be 'a kid'. But Yeow. Painting with glue, as you know, isn't........
And taking off the tape. And and even DABBING ON THE GLITTER. That's the hardest problem for me to figure out how to fix. Any hints please? I have new respect for Temporary Tattoos Artists.

So you've tried it out at the bar? Or was this just practice at home? I've missed a few places when using a stencil before and went back with a brush to dab the areas I missed with the glue and that worked.
