TAG, you're it!
« on: August 02, 2011, 10:10:24 PM »

Just got some new paints...I kept hearing how "great" TAG is.
I also saw some pix of beautiful face art with outstanding pearly colors.
They used Tag, so I thought "I need to try it out."

I will take some photo tomorrow, but I got Pearl: old gold, green, red, sky blue and orange.
The blue and green are very strong and vibrant. The old gold really shines like metal!
I may need their silver, reg. gold and copper!

Got a rainbow of neons so that I could make my own. We'll see how easy it is to make
rainbows with Tag! I've done MANY with snazaroo.

I enjoy trying different brands. Got most of them: DFX, Wolfe, Snazaroo, Paradise, and StarBlends.
At first, I bought only snaz, cuz it was the least expensive. I added Wolfe or DFX for white and black
line work. Now I am not sure who Grin will be my main paint source.

TBH I don't find much difference between TAG and DFX. And now I'm back in the UK TAG costs so much more than DFX that I have switched back to Diamond FX - TAG was marginally cheaper postage when I was in hong Kong.

Prefer them (whichever) for body paint, lovely strong colours.

I tried Grimas for the first time this week. . .the white gives the most amazing smooth base!

Is it in a cake? or is it liquid? Never used Grimas.

I suspect you mean water-based Grimas?

Its a solid cake, slightly more powdery than Paradise but similar.

Grimas is 1 of the original pro brands, they have a HUGE range of colours. As in stupid amounts of shades of each! They also have make-up ranges and an oil-based range. They do a 'cake' range (just to confuse you) which is a great sheer base for spidey eyes, vamps etc, as other normal face paint over the top of it won't pick up the white. I thinks thats a bit like the solid starblends?

Love Grimas, its my fave for faces. ANd their stacking/ container system is genius although I don't use it... sort of like giant lego with the paint in the dimples but all differing sizes.

Hay Glitterfly,
In general, it is considered inappropriate to advertise a product on another's forum. You probably should just delete it. Congrats on your new venture!
