I was blessed at a craft show I did this summer.
Although I had little painting done, I made connections
with the director of Community Health for a big healthcare system.
Had to file W-9s and other tax papers as well as I will have to wait a few weeks for
payment BUT they do LOTS of community health fairs and hire entertainers for these events.
I did my first yesterday. It was great. I had a huge line (with a few complainers), so I was
busy the whole time. At the end, one of the employees commented on the high quality of
my painting. I said, "you have face painters a lot, aren't they just as good?" He said that
most of the time, there they do not have a long line at their tent. And that my work was
far better than the rest. I said "Good, just hire me all the time!" Hopefully they will.
You just never know who you will meet anytime you are painting or wearing your art
when you are out in public. Opportunities can be around any corner!! Thank you, God!
