Ok, facepainters,
Rise and shine and write something HERE! Even attach a photo with the comment.
I am starting this, so what do I love doing:
I love a challenge. Doing something new. Sometimes they work out brilliant.
Other times, please DON'T take a picture of your kid! I was asked to do a full-face
elephant last weekend and it was LESS, much less, than great. The five year old
seemed happy though. I wasn't!
I love entering contests and being able to reseach my ideas before I even paint a stroke.
(EVERYONE ENTER THE LATEST CONTEST!!!)Then I love trying to make it fit on a face.
Not always so easy.
Curly Qs were a big
challenge before, but I practice it alot! Now I try to change and adjust my lines
to make them more tribal, wacky or just more original. I could do it for hours at a time, but
I usually run out of skin by then. Get out the wash cloth!
Last year, someone was to come over around Halloween for a Freddy Krueger.
I did my research, analyzing all the skin layers and different colors necessary.
THEN they did not show! I was bummed!
Stretching our creativity to our fullest capacity is what makes us become BETTER painters
and have an excellent time doing it! Even if no one in the world notices as I improve;
I know that I improve. That's worth every second that I practice and research.
This is so enjoyable and I LOVE my job!!!!
