G'day from Australia
« on: October 05, 2011, 04:40:52 AM »

Just stopping in to say HI,

New face painter here, located in country South Australia.

I did a short course a couple of years ago with a friend basically for some fun, i really enjoyed it but never really had time to do anything with it until now.

Now i have a bit of spare time so i have decided to try and nuture my ability.

I would love to know where everyone gets there inspiration from? What websites / books do you recommend? I like to put my own spin on things but often struggle with initial inspration any help would be gratefully received Smiley

Thanks you and looking forward to chatting with you all soon

Welcome, down under from someone up above in Chicago!
Glad to have you aboard, mate! OK no more bad Aussie accent.

When I was first getting my act together, I visited chat rooms
and then linked to all the members websites. There were so
many great designs that I hadn't thought about. I would see styles
that I wanted to learn better. That's mostly done with practice.

I also went to youtube and watched many instructional videos.
They are priceless! Many give step-by-step instructions AND a list
of the exact supplies that they use.

Read all the articles at the chat sites. People ask each other
questions that you want to know all the time. And if you don't see
a question that you have, submit a post of your own. You can't learn
without asking questions!

Purchasing books can always be good, but so much info on the internet
is FREE. You can't beat that price. Good luck, and KEEP POSTING.
All of us love new members!!!!
