Very nice first attempt. I really like the work around the eyes. It's very neat. Kudos!
You should be proud.

A few ideas to help your future tries:

• only outline the muzzle around the mouth area. It is hard to make your lines smooth, straight, and symmetrical, so eliminate the problem by only not painting the line all the way from the eyes to the muzzle.

• work on blending your colors by patting and overlapping your second color. When you swipe one color on and swipe the second next to the first, you get blocks or stripes of color. Practice on your arm or leg. I do it all the time!

• Spread out your cheetah markings so there are no empty spots. Also use a variety of sizes. Go small to big.

• Practice making neater dots. There are dotter brushes that can help as well as a product called Detailz.
It looks like a bottle on nail polish, but it makes small dots and lines much easier.

• Look into different brushes. After years of painting, I found Royal Majestic brushes and WOW, what a difference. My strokes are so much cleaner. They are sold at Hobby Lobby. Look for that 40% coupon and get a set of varied sizes. They even have a 50% off sale now and then.

• go to youtube.com there are vides of people showing how to practice your lines or stripes on a tiger and more. It really helped me produce better designs!

Good luck and keep us posted on your next step!
