Good morning to all and thank you for letting me join your group. There are alot of very talented people here and your (pl) art is just amazing.
I am NOT an artist but hace always been fascinated with face painting so I started a little over a year ago--Halloween, cheek art and now am really enjoying the full fledged stuff. I hope someday to learn airbrush technique as well.

Hi Moms Faces... welcome to the board!
Have you ventured out to face paint at events yet? I've been at it for about 2 years now professionally, but have done it over the years sporadically for my children's Halloween makeup and such.

Hi Sherry. I did a Cancer benefit in May--I painted about 300 faces over a 10 hour period (boy was my back sore!)
Made a ton of money for the Cancer relay team (2 $/face)
I am doing my 'first' birthday party on Aug 10. I just made my own business "Mom's Faces" so we'll see how it goes! I'm nervous. I never view my work as 'good enough' to expect payment but others say I'm nuts-and my faces look good. I guess it's the critic in me.
And these chat sites--many of you are SOOO talented, truly I am in awe of the work I see.
But, practice makes perfect they say, so I'll keep pluggin away!
My 11 yr old daughter is my main model--(she charges me 1 itune song download/face)
I think I'll shall invest in a practice head so I can practice at my leisure and not ambush her so much

Hi Mom, boy that sounds funny! Welcome to the board! What does the (pl) stand for in you post? I loved the part about you being charged a download per face. Mine are too small for that, but I have to bribe them just the same, usually with candy, or spongebob. I get off kind of cheap I guess. For now anyway.

the (pl) stands for you-- plural-- "all of you" as opposed to an individual you!!
Good to meet you too!
