Teaching!!!!

I recently received a request from an art studio in Milwaukee to teach some of their staff
the current trends in face painting. Not sure where they found me, but...cool! It would be
a 90 minute ride from home (Chicago). Trying to think about how much to charge.
I asked how many students; if they want me to provide the make up and how many hours.
I don't think that I would go for less than 3 or 4 hours.

Any suggestions? They said some of their staff have some experience in fp, but I don't know
how much. I will ask them what kind of designs that they want to learn.

Looks like my business is adding a new path to my career journey. I especially like that
I WON'T be training in my home town. Than they can't turn into my competition!

Sounds like fun.  I've only taught one class and I did it in exchange for opening up my supplies for sale and that worked out pretty good for me.  I made up a Face Painting Tips pamphlet to hand out to the students.  I demo'd 2 basic designs and after each one I would have them practice on each other and go table to table to see if they needed help.  These were clowns with varying degrees of face painting experience.  I enjoyed it.  I was told that I needed to project my voice better, so something I need to work on if I ever have the opportunity to teach again.

What do you think is a fair amount to charge them?
I am guessing it will be less than 10 students.
But Milwaukee is probably an hour and a half drive.

Is a four hour minimum fair for the distance?
