Thank you!! I used to work 30-35 hours a week for the first 3 years, but once I started doing gigs a lot I cut back to 25 and now typically 15-25. I do work 30+ hours sometimes. Depends on the season. About 6 months ago I stopped working weekends at the park. Took awhile to have the seniority to do so. I'll have been there for 4 years at the beginning of April. When I was hired, it was completely different. I had face painted for school charities before, but not a lot. Basically they looked at my traditional arts portfolio. There was no training back then. It was here's a kid, here's a brush, go. My first week was hard. Though its all different now. Our new hires shadow us, practice on us, then take the leap. However, there is no formal classes. At the park we use Wolfe everything, paint, sponges, brushes. In my personal kit I use a lot of stuff. Kryolan Aquacolor, Wolfe/Tag/DFX, Fab, Mehron metallic powders, Donna Dewberry's stuff, MAC, Revlon, Cheap dollar store make up, E.L.F., Wolfe sponges, make up wedges, and for brushes my favorite brand is Lowell-Cornel, but I am not picky. I have brushes from every where. Walmart, Michael's, Sillyfarm, old brushes from other artists, all kinds of make up brushes.
I'm definitely not a one brand girl. I typically mix Kryolan and Wolfe. It's the best consistency for me. Though I'm very partial to Wolfe/Tag/DFX white and black. I just can't use anything else. Hahaha! Yea I'm great at thooooose designs. We have about 25-30 designs. People always say "You've done this before!" I'm like "You have no idea." I've done those designs COUNTLESS times.
