Hi from Chicago!
« on: August 04, 2009, 06:15:59 PM »

I have been painting for over 20 years - cheeks and hands mostly. Just started playing with Snazaroo for the last year. Doing full faces has been so much fun and so much more impressive to my clientele. Snazaroo goes on nicely, but does another brand endure hot sticky days better? When I am working several hours, I see my beautiful faces sweating their way off into a big mess. Does anyone use any kind of fixative or am I using the wrong make up?

Looking forward to using this site a lot!

Hi Sophie's ~

I wish I had the answer to your question.
I'm just glad you're here - If you have such
a good question, I know you're one of us.

Lol - DO NOT REALLY DO THIS - But I thought of
a funny joke.  How about bringing along some old-fashioned
hair-spray to spray on their faces after you paint them -
I have done that for my Pastel Portraits on occasion.
To keep the pastel from coming off.

Hi Sophie,

I know what you mean about the melting paints... I'm in Georgia!   Cheesy  I've been asking this same question and some of the advice I have gotten is to use the powders, Grimas was recommended as well, but I have no idea where to buy it in the states and I've also heard Diamond FX is better Snaz.  But it gets gooey for me as well.  My Starblends work fine, but when I do the line work, it still runs off of sweaty faces.    :Smiley

Welcome, btw!  Smiley

Whew - Have you had any luck with getting the Artwork to stay on sweaty faces?

It's been sooo hot here in NY lately.  So I crept back to this thread a lot more serious now.
