What types of products do you sell at street fairs for extra cash.

I have tried to sell a wide variety of products and very few of them have worked.  I thought with all the butterfly faces I do that I could sell wings, wands, crowns, and etc to accent the face painting, so far it hasn't worked out, but maybe I'm not marketing it properly.  From my limited experience I would suggest that you only try to sell things that people do not commonly see...  The 2 products I have tried that sell very well are yo-yo balloons and inflatable animals and dinosaurs.  Make sure to list all your products on your vendor applications.  Be careful of "art fairs."  They sometimes require that everything that is sold must be handmade.  It's a grey area and you should try to negotiate with them.  I would love to hear if any of you have products that are selling well.

I've heard of the yoyo balloons and have thought about selling them, but the festivals I'm booked for often, like you said, have me list specifically what I'm selling and it has to be handcrafted.  I've had luck with the balloons as an add-on.  I've also considered selling face paint kits, only because I've heard talk of it.

If you're at events where it gets dark, the glow swords, wands and necklaces seem to be a hot item.
