I'm thinking about the next contest and am trying to decide what would be a good theme. I was thinking maybe, butterflies, fairy princess faces or maybe a Halloween themed design. The next one will run until October 31st. Anyone like those ideas or have one of their own?
Thanks!

I like the idea of doing a halloween theme. This has so many options it would be great to see the different designs. Ginaxxx

Just thought how about an Alison and wonderland theme. We could choose which character to paint. Ginaxxxx

That's a neat idea. I really like it. If we don't do it this go around, I'll definitely keep it to use for a future contest.

Alice in Wonderland could be great. Lots of possibilities. But should we attach a time limit for everyone? It's hard to judge everyone equally when some spend a long period of time and others do it quickly, like we do when we are working.

You had me stumped with this question, but after thinking about it, I think we can specify at the start of each contest whether it will be just for fun and have no time limit or if it is for a real working design completed in 5 or possibly 7 minutes or less.

hi all, I like the Halloween idea, always good to get some seasonal input. Alice and wonderland would certainly offer lots of interesting characters. I wondered about the last contest, in your request for entries you asked for full face or cheek art, I noticed most of the entries were body art. Almost all of my work is full face and designed to take 3-4 minutes or less. Do other people do more cheek and arm art? Thanks

I do mostly full face, because I prefer it and I highlight it on my design boards and website. But there are still plenty of customers who only want the cheek and arm art.

I love this idea. Seems like it doesn't really matter what you choose - whatever it is, it might inspire us at our next gig.
Still, Halloween is a special occasion for Face-Painters. It would be great to be thinking of Halloween stuff the month before Halloween.
Or maybe we'd just focus on one Halloween-type character. Like All Witches. Or All Ghosts.

I think it would be Awesome to do a fall/harvest theme. since people are prolly doing events of that nature in the near future.. might help get the creative juices flowing

I like all the ideas for different themes and I thought a dragon theme would be fun too.

I love the dragon idea too. I was thinking of doing a Christmas theme next to help with ideas for the Christmas season coming up. And then maybe the dragon or Alice in Wonderland can be next.
