At my little brother's suggestion (hey aren't kids the experts;)? ) I painted a Stewie a while back.  Well I decided to dress Stewie up for Halloween this time.  Here's the little devil in his trick or treating ensemble, complete with pitchfork and treat bag. This is the first month I had the guts to enter any sort of contest.  Forgive my newbie-ness, I have only been at this since June or July.  But here goes, in a few different angles:

His head and hands are Starblend white powder (sponged in). Paradise black for outlines, his accessories, and cape (the little snaz brush that comes with the sparkle palette for outline, and a DFX 3 for the rest). Wolfe white for the inside of the eyes, and Snaz red for the rest (DFX 2 flat). I swirled on some gold liquid bling on his treat bag, and dotted it on his buttons as well. And of course I made sure to get a picwith the tongue sticking out too, since I totally forgot the first time I did Stewie! Smiley

Did anybody here ever comment that that's a great idea, Color?

 I love all your entries!

And thanks Alison!  I guess it could be applied to other face paintings as well!  The reason I did it is because that's how Stewie is designed, lol.  Aren't you going to enter the contest?  Let me know when you're in the city so we can meet up for coffee or something.  I'm addicted to face painting now...I'm new, but it's all I do online! Read it, think it, stare at photos, hahahaha...

Thanks, Color.  It would be great to meet up with another FunFacePaintChat person.

I probably won't be able to enter the Contest This time.  Maybe another time.

I don't know if we can enter more than one.  If so, I have another photo to share (and if not, at least it will give any other beginners 2 very EASY Halloween designs in one).  I had never done a zombie or vampire and was just putting it off bc I was afraid to screw it up, but finally last night bit the bullet and did both.  Half of my face in zombie, half in Twilight-style vampire.  And when I put it as my Facebook photo people seemed to like it from the feedback I got, so here goes.

Zombie (which I roughly based on Shannon Fennell's step by step on her blog, though I did it kinda differently...great blog btw though, she has some very helpful tip and ideas):

Starblend white for the base.  I didn't have other Starblends and wanted to try powders for a softer look so I used various shades of brown, gray, and black eyeshadows. With those I added various shadows, wrinkles, and crevices around the eyes, cheekbones, temples, and forehead,   I used a #0 round for fine lines to accent some of the shadows and wrinkles in DFX black, as well as to paint a line down the center of the face (not necessary though if doing full face zombie).  Then with a a sponge, I added some Ben Nye liquid blood in several areas, focusing on the mouth area.

Vampire:
I was going to do the other side as a princess type thing to offset it but instead decided to go vampire.  Twilight sparkly style, lol.  Kryolan silver for the base to give it a shimmery pale glow.  Then some of the darker eyshadows to create softly sunken cheeks and shadows around the eye.  Then again, I highlighted with the DFX black, especially concentrating on lining the eyes.  I added deep red lipstick.  Then my friend suggested amber contacts to complete the Twilight look but I think that may be a bit much, lol!  Either way, it was easy (it must have been as by the time I got to the vampire I was kinda feeling lazy.  Anyway here goes:

Hi Colormyworld... yes, you can submit more than one design.

The blood really makes it gruesome!

THe blood was fairly easy to get off. Smiley  It's the mint flavored one by Ben Nye. The liquid, not the gel or paste.  I did on;y dab it on though...if I glopped it on more maybe it would've been a bit harder?  Let's just say the black gave me more trouble than the blood lol! Smiley

If we can enter twice, then I am putting this one in. I had a little more time.

Wolfe FX paints
yellow skull face first, then fingers
black outline and background
shade and highlight skull and fingers
white and brown to highlight and shadow skin stretching
