Hi D,
I use mostly Wolfe, its more pigmented than snazaroo, I started with that.

High density sponges are great, cut them in half.

Hi and welcome!  I've heard that the ones they used at Disney was the Kryolan brand, but this is coming secondhand.  I think the sponges and face paint brands are personal preference.  I like to use the tack sponges.  I bought them early on, because of the price and have now grown accustomed to them and seem to always reach for them over any other sponges I have on hand.

Besides the tack sponges, I've tried the Diamond FX and Wolfe Brothers, Snazaroo's old sponges and their new petal sponges.  I've heard that the green (Fardel?) sponge is awesome.  I've also heard people swear by cut up car wash sponges.  I bought a carwash sponge and it was AWFUL, but since I hear raves, I think I must have bought the wrong kind and have contemplated buying another to see if this is so.  Ahhh, the possibilities!   Grin

I use mostly Snazaroo, Diamond FX and the Starblends.  I also use Kryolan and have one Ben Nye powder.  It's beautiful, but I haven't bought anymore, because I dropped it and it broke up partially and I thought it was so tiny for the cost.

Sherry, what are tack sponges? I ordered my round white ones when I got my initial supplies (high density, I guess), and cut them in half....still not thrilled ~ can't seem to get a really smooth application and blends~

Tack sponges can be bought where you buy horse supplies.  I buy them at a store called Anderson's General Store.  They come in bags of 12 and look like the ones Wolfe and Diamond FX sell, but they're a tad smaller and a tad less firm.  They're cheaper than the face painting ones for sell.  I don't know if I've just gotten used to them, but I've come to prefer them and reach for them over my other sponges.  I have the high density Diamond FX, Wolfe and the Snazaroo sponges.  These are the only face painting ones I've tried.
