Looking for suggestion for an upcoming party.

Hello everyone,
I have a puppy dog themed party soon. Does anyone have advise for things I could try?
Also I've had a few experiences where an adult was very rude or a child was being destructive and the parent ignored the misbehavior.  I wonder how others handle these situations.  I don't want to alienate clients so how can I set limits and still be courteous?

You probably thought of it already, but how about a bunch of different kinds of dogs? Dalmation, hound, etc.. Maybe some of the same types, but different colors. I've found just a different color combo will change a kids mind a lot of the time.

As far as the rudeness: For an adult- Yes they are the client, but I there is a line. If they don't get the point after you politely explain it to them you can always pack up, or refuse them service. It will hurt you in the short term, but I believe most of the time it won't come to that. For kids, unless they are going to break or tear something up, I cut them a lot of slack, proporitional to their age. My wife had that happen her last event. A small kid was throwing a soda bottle from one side of the table to the other. After several minutes with no intervention by the parents she got up and took the bottle from him and threw it away. By the way, it wasn't his soda, it was left there by a previous group.
