Good Morning from Ohio!

Hi everybody,
My name is Jeanette and I, of course, live in Ohio.  I've been face painting for my kids' school system for quite a few years but just discovered the beauty of proper face paints a few months ago. I'm nowhere nearly as talented as some of the painters I've seen online, but I'm in a learning frame of mind,  kwim?

I have 2 canvases I mean, children and I'm a full time CAD Drafter. I've always been artsey fartsey and I'm an avid crafter. I draw, sew, make jewelry, scrapbook, and bead as well as face paint, so I'm pretty much always running around like a headless chicken. I'm also in school 3/4 time and I help out with my church a lot. One day, I'll buy an ounce of common sense and slow down...until then, I'm just going with the flow and trying to avoid the rocks along the way.

I hope to get to know a lot of you here and I hope that I will find I have something to offer. I see some faces/personas from the FPF here (Hiya Shannon!), but I see more that I don't know. Hopefully there are some Ohio face painters here...I'm trying to band the NE Ohio painters together to form a guild that we can actually have jams that don't require a 3 or 4 hour drive.

Hi Jeanette... Welcome to the board!   

I'm a native Ohioan relocated to the south.  I'm originally from Columbus.  It's interesting that you're a CAD drafter.  My sister is going to school to learn that and will be finishing up this winter.  I tried, but couldn't get her into face painting.

Welcome to the board, I just found it here and love it.
I started much like you, quilting, drawing, sewing, scrapbooking, sculpting, decorating, etc. etc. etc.
When people ask me how long I have been painting, I just say I have been painting for years, faces are just a newer canvas for me.

You will be great if you already have the talent!

OK.  So where exactly in Ohio are you?!!!
I am in Lake County.  I've gotten together with some other face painters once already but would be interested in expanding my professional aquaintances.
