Hello

Another question: As far as design do we stick to the simple cheek design or do everything whole face etc? I have heard if there is long lines do simple designs shorter lines go for the face. Well, the lines are always long when I am face painting. How many designs should we display at once? Just little thinks I am running into:-) Thanks in advance!

Most of that depends on how fast you can work, sometimes masks or full face takes me less time than detailed cheek art on a kid that moves. I would practice all your designs on your board of about 12-20 designs and make sure you are quick at them all. I usually have a print out in a plastic page protector of faces I am working on or ideas I have, that way when the crowd gets slow I can pull them out and take some more time on someone when I have the time.

I do mostly full face, because sometimes cheek art with it's detail and outlining can be hit or miss for me, especially with a wiggly kid.  There are tricks and techniques for speeding up your faces.  Rainbow cakes are great for this, for full faces and cheek art.

Sometimes when I need to be quick and I need to cover a full face in one color, the wet makeups can really slow me down.  Especially on darker skintones.  I will switch to applying my Starblends with a powder puff.  You can find these in the makeup section.  This covers the face quickly.

This made me laugh Sherry - I'm imagining a big powder puff of color smashed right on top of someone's face.

But, no, seriously, it does sound like a great thing to try some day.  I'm actually amazed to think of covering a whole face so easily.

Cheesy  Yeah, I didn't know how to describe it.  I thought, "I hope they don't think I mean those big powder puffs."  It's the ones that come in small compacts to apply face powder.

And this is better than an fp-sponge?

I don't think I've ever applied the dry powders with a sponge, so I'm not sure if that would work well.
