I guess that is where I am going to have a hard time.  I can;t so NO to anyone.  All my life people have walked all over me.  Character flaw?  Big time!!

I have been trying to speak my mind since I had my daughter 3 years ago.  I want her to grow up being a strong woman and knowing that it is okay to tell someone NO even if it hurts their feelings.

Thanks for the awesome advice ladies.

You're welcome!

Make sure you take time for yourself.  When it's hard to say no, I think you start to feel a bit resentful if you're not getting your way sometimes too!  I don't know about you, but when I get that way, I just step back, take some me time and then I feel recharged and refreshed and not so grumpy!   Smiley

Good Luck Kim.
Actually, I find that I fluctuate.
It' probably sounds like I'm always able to speak my mind because of how I write here,
but actually I only do it some of the times.

It's getting so much easier now that I've seen that it really does work better.  Makes me feel better, and usually makes the other person feel better too.  Because there's an intangible negativity when I go against my reality.

Actually, my biggest stresses right now are from times when I've tried to be too nice (in personal relationships)  - Went overboard to be nice to people who were not being nice to me - Only to find
You got to be kidding!!!  I get rejected by them instead!!!

Developing our Artwork and our Business also develops our Character.
Good Luck to All of Us

Egads - This thread sure has gotten far from it's original topic of Fees.
What it comes back to though, is how we go out there -
As beggars who decide what we we're going to do
just so people Like us?
Or as Professionals - who know that we're worth a living wage in the economy of 2010.
