What to charge and controlling lines at birthday parties

Good evening everyone,
I am doing my first pay per event....actually my first paying event at all on Nov. 28th.
I am doing glitter tattoos only. Another woman is doing face painting already.
So, my question is:
what price range do you find people are comfortable paying for a face paint or glitter tattoo at craft shows?
It is geared to parents with kids and I am just don;t want to overcharge to scare customers away, or too little that I am cheating myself.
I have spent a small fortune on supplies at this point and would like to start making money back.
So do you think $4-$7 is better then $5-$8? Which would entice you more to purchase a glitter tattoo?
Also, I have mailed out companies for parties and corp. events. My fees are $100 and hour for face painting OR glitter tattoos. If they want both, it is an additional $50 an hour. Just b/c there are normally tons of people to do at copr. events.
I was also asked by my local Shopperrug Mart for a fees flyer for monthly customer days. What do you think I should charge for maybe a re-occurring e vent like that?
AND..........how do you control the my turn-my turn at birthday parties?
Thanks.

At a party, I get one of the adults to keep a list of all those interested, that way the kids can play until their name is called. But often, there is still a line. They love to watch everyone else get their face done.
I suggestg $4 and $7, that way they get change from their five for the smaller one. You might get more customers that way.

Depending on your market, check the festival and see what other people are charging for things. If soda is $1 then I dont think $5 glitter tattoos work, but if soda is $2.50, I think you should be able to get starting price of $5.
I have a few recurring gigs, that I charge less money for (my lowest one is 75 for two hours) But its chick fil a, they feed me, its only once a month for 2 hrs, close to my house, and I worked it into the agreement that I put out a tip jar and can market myself for parties while there and they advertise when I am going to be there throughout the whole month.
