smoothie brushes

Hi Ladies,
I have a local supplier who is willing to give me Starblend for $6. each.
I need to buy some smoothie brushes and was wondering if you need a new brush for each colour?
Do you clean them in between colours? If so, how?
OR do you just dab the rest of the powder off and start with the next colour?
Thanks for your help.

I use a different brush for each color, but I have used a different color on each side in the past. This was before I had enough brushes for each color. When I had to do that, the color from the other side would get on the face sometimes in small amounts.
I clean my smoothies in the sink. I wet them with water and then use baby wash or shampoo to clean them. I let them air dry when I'm done. The only thing I don't like about smoothies is they seem to lose their softness after repeated washings and get a bit hard.

Thanks I appreciate your help.
I tried applying the red with a large make up brush (used in applying masks for facials) and it didn;t go on very vibrant. I;ll have to get some smoothies.
Do you like using the Starblend?
Take care,
Kim

I tried using a face painting sponge like Alison suggested and that works as well. I like the Starblends, especially when it's hot outside. I also like them when I need to be fast, because they apply quickly.

You can also apply them wet with a sponge, just like the water activated makeup.
