That's excellent, Sherry ~
Did you have him memorize a script for how to act like a child who is being face-painted?
He did everything right.

Lol - I mean, we can learn as much about painting on children
as we can learn about painting Rudolf
from this video.  (I'm so glad you make videos - When did you learn to do that?)

No learning on the videos part, I just jumped right in.

Funny about the acting the kid part!  He was EXTRA wiggly the night I made that video and I had to cut out a bunch of wiggly jabberyness.   Cheesy

Cut out a bunch of wigglies?
I would have been interested to see that stuff.
To see what we all know it's Really like.

One of the things I was thinking
was how nicely/happily it ended
without torturing the child.
He asked if it's done yet,
and you said Yes.
I was wondering if it isn't better to just stop your painting at that point in the relationship
even if we're not really finished with the painting, or if it's better to have a children only
walking around with our super-duper complete wonderful paintings.

Which gives the child the better experience?
Which makes the artist look more desirable for future events?
Which makes the party more special?

I had a child recently that seemed to be getting really impatient.  I was torn between leaving the design as it is or adding a few extra steps to make it a more WOW design.  So I asked him if he wanted me to add the "blah, blah, blah" or leave it as it is.  He wanted me to stop and liked it just as it was.  Plus he looked like he was really done with sitting there and letting me paint him.
