Silly Farm Holiday Party

Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night!!

I can't wait! Mostly I am excited because I get to spend the today and tomorrow in Melbourne with the kids because my fiance works here and its closer to Ft Lauderdale, and we just wanted to take one car. And if you don't live in FL and are having crap weather, we live here because I can go to the beach in December and it is 79* outside.

We spent all morning having breakfast at the beach and playing around, Logan brought all the dump truck and shovels. Then we went to the mall, had lunch with Chris and now are chillin in the hotel room before I have to go get Chris from work. I love it!! For anyone who is interested in my life, My fiance has spent a year unemployed and now is at his new great job for a month. It's two hours away, but we don't care at all!! I am so happy to not be stressed about money anymore!

I can't wait to raid the SillyFarm store too!!!

I'm happy to hear this... no money worries!  There's nothing more relieving than that!   Grin

I'm up in Jacksonville and the weather was so warm today that I was getting hot.  I hear a cold front is coming in tomorrow.

Is the party tonight?  You'll have to let us know how it goes.

That's great Mandi!  I can't imagine how hard/scary it must be
to have a fiance who's out of work.

I think we're extra happy/elated when we think someone or someplace
or something
is going to

fix our big Problem (whatever that is),
and we actually connect with that
magical wonderful person (place or thing.  or activity.  whatever it is that
we think is going to Do it

We gotta have worries
in order to feel that joy.
We gotta stand all day
in order to love taking off our shoes at night

Yeah I went to the party, and was kind of disappointed I went two years ago and there were some of the top painters that I had seen at the convention painting on everyone and the store was open for people to buy stuff. I have been holding off my order so I could go and touch stuff and not have to pay shipping, etc. So no one was even painting, Mama Clown was doing hair, Sierra got her hair done very cute. We all came with clean faces expecting to have a Wolfe brother or Momma clown or heather B paint us, but nothing. Then the store wasnt open, very disappointing for me. I took Sierra out of school for the day and booked a hotel in Melbourne and drove along with Chris to work, etc. just to be here for this party. We had more fun at the beach and stuffing bears at the Build a Bear than we did at the party, and it was dang hot, I was sweating all night anyway! We didnt even stay 3 hours and we drove 2 hrs and 45 min to get there!!

Sounds like it was a big disappointment.  Sorry to hear that. Since you booked a hotel room, can you go back to the store today to buy stuff?
I would love to go to their store.
Was it a Christmas party for everyone (customers) or a staff party and you were specially invited?
Maybe send them an e-mail and thank them for the invite but express your disappointment.  Maybe they have no idea what people were hoping for.  I bet of they knew they could of made sales that night, they would keep the store open next year.

Did you take any pics?  I would love to see their company.  Always curious if it is a smaller operation or massive.  I would love a job there. Tongue
