As a face-painter who always dreams of having the best circumstances, I was Real impressed with that black cat. It's the best one I've ever seen.
And how cute that baby with the colored lights is. And how creative that polar bear with the arms is.

Thanks for the compliments on the cat Alison! The Polar Bear wasn't my creativity. I saw several versions online, but I sure agree that it's a creative idea! A clever and quick design I think.

I did the polar bear this past weekend at a Christmas party. The little girls loved it and the younger boys thought it was "cool." Super easy to do and super fast.

Good idea - I'm thinking..... I'll be wearing light blue and white for a Chanukah Party this week. Perhaps I'll paint it on my self....

Lol - there I was, all set up with my blue/white outfit, when I remembered that I was working for an agent who requires us to wear her company t-shirt. Black with an orange design on it.
Oh yeah. So I wore nice warm pink pants with it. And the blue polar bear wouldn't look right with it. So I just painted a row of flames across my forehead.
Real easy corporate gig. I had time to do all sorts of nice things - made things to match the party dresses....made full-faces with snowflakes.....
I had a written sign for the special holiday choices, but nobody picked the polar bear. Boo-hoo-who.
Happily, though, polar bear can be used even if it's not a holiday party. I'll be so excited when the opportunity comes up.

I saw the cutest design the other day that was similar to the polar bear, but they switched it to Rudoph. It was really cute. They had a Rudolph head in the middle of the forehead and instead of two polar bear arms coming around, they had two Rudolph legs. Another idea! I guess you can have any little creature hugging around the head.
But how would you do it with a snowman? He'd have those little stick arms.

Ahah! It's Arms Or Legs.
We can probably expand that even more. Like having Snakes Or Feathers coming out of the sides of something. This can just be another way to Design.

Good for you to have some jobs. I got NOTHING so far. My zombie Christmas people went with a hypnotist. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

Yesterday I painted at a large corporate Employee amd family christmas party. There was a Santa, a jump house, a magic act, a comedian, a craft table to make stocking with glitter on them, and me all in the same room. I was right next to Santa. We all started at 2pm, and was to finish at 6pm, the kids and adults could go from station to station, pick out what they wanted to do, then to the dining room for dinner. I painted for four hours, no break, nothing to drink and my line almost went out the door! I finished at 6:10pm and still had kids trying to get to the end of the line! Santa was done in one hour. The blow up house was mostly empty all afternoon. The magic act well he was almost alone all afternoon. And I seen only a few people at the comedians station. I kept asking the kids "have you visited Santa yet" nope they wanted their faces painted! One girl about 4 years old or so, told me no I want my face painted, besides Santa is coming to my house on the 25th, I'll talk to him them! Thats two Saturdays in a row that I painted with a Santa and no kids wanted to visit and talk to him! Well gals, maybe face painting is taking over the world with kids! They want us instead of Santa! Imagine that! I never even had a chance to take any pictures!

I've had the same kind of events. Even when they do line up for Santa I think it's just because he has presents and he usually only spends a few seconds per kid while we may need 2,3 or 4 minutes per face. I did my last corporate gig yesterday, wow, it has been busy but around here the parties are pretty much over and it kicks into family time. I'm so excited to be going to my mom's on Friday night and my 2 baby nephews and the rest of the crew will be there, too. Our Christmas is on December 18th so I guess it's time to set aside the paints and pull out the butter, sugar, flour....
