Ear face painting
« on: December 19, 2009, 08:21:09 AM »

I was browsing the web for new designs and I found this great one of a spider crawling out of the ear.....it was the BEST, but wouldn't you know, I can't find it again.  Anyone can help me here?

Wish I could.  I feel like I've seen this design as well, but I just did a quick online search and no luck!  Maybe someone else will find it.

I did at least get an honorable mention when I entered the contest, but the Spider won first place.

I didn't mean to mislead you, the Spider was not mine, but I thought it was the picture she was looking for.

I did these two in part of the contest.

You're the greatest -
Not only are your pictures great,
but you're so playful, too.  Ears, Dolls..... I LOOK FORWARD to what else you're going to show us some day.

Thanks Mandi!

Mandi, thanx, that is the picture I was looking for.  I am impressed that you are the one that did the red one coming out of the ear, I like that one as well.  Very creative.  I would really like to try the spider, wish the picture was larger, I want to figure out how he did the legs, with the different colors yet they aren't outlined.

I'm feelign icky about painting ears - especially like the red one that's All painted.
Thinking about wanting to quickly glomp it all on and smash the paint around an ear.....
If you're doing a lot of them and you have a long line.....

But you can't do that to an ear, can you?  Do you carefully paint all the convolutions?
Are you concerned about paint getting into the inside of the ear
either during the painting
or later when it's washed off?

Yep, I was thinking a bit along the same lines.  I wonder who thought up an ear painting category?  And does anyone do this in a real world face painting event?  I think it is just a creative idea, a potentially messy and ticklish one at that.
