Alison's Paintings
« on: December 21, 2009, 11:13:40 PM »

I get nervous every time I go to post pictures here - thinking it will be hard.
But it's easy!  I'm glad to share with you a few pictures from one of my recent events:

Very nice! I like the different colors for the highlights, very nice! On the first one; did you paint the purple
on top of the black, or the other way around?

Thanks!

Actually, the first one and the third one are the same painting.
There was so much plenty of time at this Corporate gig,
but if you know how most people are at Corporate gigs,
you'll know that
it was hard to find someone who wanted me to do a tiger-face
which is what I wanted to do.

So when I got a woman to agree to this one
(I think I called it Gothis Swirls?  Something like that),
it was at a time when I was just a-itchin to do a full-face tiger.
So I actually did a rather detailed little circle-tiger on her arm.
Then I had to start swirling.  I started with black, highlighting with white,
and then the person I was painting on (let's call her 'Canvas-Girl'),
suggested that I add some purple into the design.
Good idea, Lady!

When we know what we're doing,
and we have time to do it,
there's no telling what sort of things we'll come up with in each moment.
