videos from my Thursday night job last week
« on: July 13, 2009, 04:36:38 PM »

They only let me paint 8 designs and 4 of those were dogs, but it turned
out to be a great family event.  I had a line a mile long so I had to do quick versions of designs.
I think you will have to cut and paste the name into your browser.  They are very short.  Hope it
is OK to post these :-)

Beautiful Fancy!  Smiley  I love to watch other face painters.  I like seeing everyone's different techniques, I think you learn so much that way.  I can literally waste gobs of time, just browsing face painting videos on Youtube.

This video is so professional.  Did the people who hired you take it and edit it?  Or did you do it yourself?  Nice!   Grin

Good Morning:  The woman that I work with when I am doing Movies in the Park (Her company is Southern Outdoor Cinema) did the video and edited it and then sent it to me.  I am so excited and pleased that she would take the time to do that.  That particular butterly is fun, easy and fast and the girls really like it.  It is a good one to do when I have a long line.

That is so nice of her to do that.  I did some work for Jax4kids and they sent me a really nice video, kind of like the second one you posted.  It showed some of the faces I did in the video and one showed me painting a face, but only my hand was in the frame... but still rather exciting to see!   Grin

Do you use the powders a lot?  I like powders, but am starting to really get into the water activated cakes more.  Me and my husband disagree on this... he's a big fan of the powders.  He'll probably chime in on this later simply because of that fact!   Cheesy

I do use the Ben Nye powders alot and sometimes Starblend.  I am starting to use paint a little more for the backgrounds, but I find the powders are so fast and I like the look they give.  The colors of the Ben Nye Powders are really beautiful too.

I have one Ben Nye powder that I use and it is a beautiful color.  It's gold that I use for Ironman... the only thing I don't like is how hard it is to open.

Finally!!! Someone who likes the powders. I agree with you fancy. I think they are very fast to use, and I like the way they don't streak like the paint. I can get the paint smooth, but it takes time to get it done. I haven't used Ben Nye yet. I might try it when something runs out.
