Mica Tattoos
« on: January 14, 2010, 01:52:40 PM »

Does anyone have any pictures they can post of mica tattoos?

I love, love, love Glimmer Body Art and have read about the mica and would really like to see it.

Thanks!

Thank you for the picture!  Too bad you can't really see the detail.  I guess since I like the glitters so much, I'd like to learn more about the mica powders and what people think about them before I invest; pros and cons and vs. glitter; cost; ease of use...  That sort of thing.

Here are a couple more.

I don't have a lot of experience with the mica tats, but when I have tried them, I thought they came out kind of muted, except for the black.

Thanks for the pics!  Nice and clear.

Hmmm...  Kinda makes me want to stick with the glitter.

Thank you for the reply!

OK did a shoot yesterday and the brief was SUPPOSED to be a 'real' looking tatt at his waist turning into a glitter tatt up his chest. But he loved the glitter so much in the end we kind of only did the tiger's bum & tail in black mica dust.

Sorry is hard to tell in my snaps - waiting for the pro shots of my Kungfu tiger!

oh yes have to say: model is kungfu expert/ fight chorographer Andrew Dasz of http://www.kungfugrupo.com. And he has an identical twin, would love to paint both...

So, I was the one who started this thread in the first place...

Anyhow, my daighter-in-law sells Bare Escentuals make-up and did a makeover on me last night.  They display all their products on cake platters of various heights and they just look delicious enough to eat!  Anyhow, she was able to give me several samples of some of their eye shadow color (I picked the most brilliant ones, tho it was hard to choose, they are all so vibrant.)  Then I got it in my head to try a Glimmer tat stencil with it, and...IT WORKED!!!  Look like mica powder tats and this stuff is so highly concentrated, you only use the tiniest dots of color.  Even for make-up use, you tap off the excess it's so rich.

Just thought I'd share.

I can see where this would work, because the make sounds similar.  Do you have pics to share?  I'd love to see how they turned out.

(having a hard time uploading my pic...)

Two day old Bare Escentuals makeup tat still lookin' fine.  Lot's more 'samples' left for more tats! Love the subtle colors.  Don't have any mica to compare it to.  Whaddaya think?!!
