Logo & Fotolia
« on: January 24, 2010, 11:33:59 AM »

Want to get lost on a site for hours?  I decided I'd try looking for a logo for my business and checked out the site fotolia.com.  I put in some keywords and I have hardly been able to pull myself away from the computer since.  I'll scroll through pages and pages, get another idea of something to search and get lost in it again.

A timewaster, but pretty fun if anyone who hasn't been there and would like to check it out.

You're right Alison, it IS what we do for inspiration and whatnot.  Thanks for putting that out there.  I needed to see that perspective and cut myself some slack.  Smiley

The positive outlook, yes!

Checked it out and love it.  But, I am confused as to what they do?  I seen an image that I would love to use as my buesiness logo.

Like, the person who's working in computers - do we say 'wasting time' when he keeps up on the latest technology?  Or the doctor who enjoys looking over case-histories - no particular reason - just relaxing because he thinks it's interesting - this is what professsionals do

Depending on what you'd like to use it for, they charge different prices.  There are other services out there besides Fotolia.  There's also istockphoto.com and some other pay ones.

There's also free sites I read about but haven't check out yet... everystockphoto and freepixels.
