I think most everyone knows me on most of the forums. I'm a veteran face painter of 20+ years. From Fairfax, VA. I paint 20-22 faces per hour comfortably (and those are not just simple faces.) I teach all across the country. In fact, I have a face painting class coming up in Fairfax in August. See it at www.shop.ArlaStudio.com . I'll also be at Living Canvas in San Jose in September. Good to be here. Looking forward to some great stimulating face painting discussions.

Hi Arla... Yes, I've seen your posts on the Google groups. I don't post a lot there, but learn a lot from other artists through the posts. I think I love posting more on a board or forum setting and that's why I started this. We have a section where you can post classes, feel free to post any you have coming up. Welcome!

Welcome Arla, and Anabel! 20-22 faces! I can't come close to that, most impressive! Practice I guess. Anabel, that is a cool looking Avatar you have. I like the coloring of it, it's not the typical bright colors.

Wow Arla, I forgot to comment on how fast you are... impressive. I tell clients I can do 10 faces an hour, which is what I can comfortably do. I'm not sure exactly how many faces I can do when speed is of the essence, but I'm guessing it's probably 15 faces an hour full face.

My name is Pat Newton - often referred to as PitterPat. I've been face painting for the past 10 years and love every aspect of the body art business. I do mostly face painting but have been branching out into body painting, temporary tattoos and glitter tattoos. I did an instructional DVD a few years back called "A Beginner's Journey" and do have a Web store where I sell Diamond FX, Paradise, and Snazaroo face painting products along with glitter tattoo materials. I'm also in the process of expanding my e-commerce site to include clown make-up and other face painting related items. Looking forward to this new group of folks!

Welcome Pitterpat. I was looking at you picture you posted and my wife saw the tropical theme, but what jumped out at me was what looks like two birds facing each other. Is that on pourpose, or am I just seeing something unintended?
