Alt idea for facepaint costume (this is on a leotard)
« on: February 15, 2010, 02:21:44 AM »

OK I had to do a dancer for an event and they wanted her glitter tatoo-d/ in 3 diff costumes over the night; not possible to do!
I came up with 1 costume, 1 glitter tattoo on skin bared in a smaller costume, and a glitter tattoo over a leotard to be her 3rd for the final Adam & Eve ring dance thing.
So far shes used & washed the leotard 2 times and its till fine...it looked AMAZING in real life, all sparkly and glittery.

So I think I may try to do a glitter painted top in it for myself to add to my costume - I needed some new printed tops anyway. I used to paint t-shirts t raise cash at university and know actual fabric glitter paints etc are not as good as this looked.

Reckon it would work? Anyone tried it before? I know I have dripped glitter tatt glue on my painting costume before and it does NOT wash off, is still there months later....its the glitter I wonder about.
Pics of the leotard in use below...

I haven't used the fabric paints since the 90's so I don't know if they've changed since then, but I didn't think they were the greatest.  They'd crack and whatnot.
