Face Paint. . .without the clowning around

out of it

I think I have just been out of sorts lately. I was so excited in August when I got to go into face painting full time and leave my regular job. Then the holidays it kinda dropped off and with january's cold, it was almost non existent. Now gigs are starting to pick back up and I am so thankful that I still made the right choice. Plus my fiance's income I dont have to scramble for money. I just wanted to see if anyone else was in the same boat. Just kinda BLAH! I can't wait until FABAIC to perk me up, but I gotta get my taxes done first to get my refund money. . .

Yeah, I think this cold has put a damper on things for me.  Today made up for it... FINALLY!  Smiley

The convention has really rejuvenated me with my face painting too.  I'm excited about my event tomorrow and trying out some new things.

It slowed down for us also. I imagine it did for everyone to some extent. Your right about going to a convention to perk yourself up though. I was chomping at the bit after the Vegas trip. Lots of new stuff to try and practice!

Lol. I guess I'm one of the few who enjoys the little break. Between work, school, henna, hair, and face painting my weekends are pretty packed. Don't get me wrong, I do go stir crazy sometimes... But I do love the freedom to lay in bed till 3pm and watch movies all day if I want to.

I'm so busy during Busy-Season that I don't get to my other stuff - like self-care, self-improvement, studying, friends, housework.....

Always trying to do that stuff, so I barely even notice if Slow-Season kicks in.  As soon as I notice that I'm really making some headway on this stuff, really getting into my other stuff, the gigs start piling in (thank goodness - I do need the money).  And at first, it's actually hard to make the transition back.

There's so much more to life than our Jobs.   Even if we like them
