tired of SPIDERMAN?

Saturday, I did a job at a Home Depot Family Day. Kept me busy for four hours. Spiderman certainly was the #1 boy choice, second was full face skulls. With my boards of many options, how come they pick Spidey? Well, he is VERY COOL. Heck, swinging from a thread sounds fun to me! I tried to convince a few to change their minds, but no.

But whose fault is it? MINE! It's on my boards! So I am considering making 2 boards: one girl and one just boy stuff AND SKIP BATMAN AND SPIDERMAN. I will work on different, but cool boy designs. Maybe is spiderman is NOT on the menu, I will get to paint different faces! Sounds good? :

It's funny you were trying to convince them NOT to pick Spidey.    So many times I hear parents trying to convince them to get Spiderman or for the parents that hate the full face thing... trying to talk them out of it.  I think I need to change my Spidey up a bit to make it more interesting for me.  I believe Batman may be just as popular, but so far, I don't dread it like I do the Spidey pick.

I think one problem with it, is it takes a while to do and it always seems to be the younger wiggly ones that want it and then perpetually complain, is it done yet? 

Ahh, the Spiderman, how to make it more fun for the face painter after you've done it a zillion times.  Or I guess, just take it off the board like you say.

I get sick of SPIDERMAN! arggggggggg! So I canged up the full face and just stopped it under the nose for a awhile, just to give me new senery! HAHAHAHA

Hi Gina...did you ever notice that you have a "Regina" pose in almost all of your snapshots...hand under the chin looking off somewhere in a daydream?  I wonder if Captain Morgan got started this way?

that must be my trade mark! HAHAHAHA I also am left handed so there fore, that's why the left side gets painted,  or the reason could be.......I am tired and I am holding my head up!  or the reason could be............I don't know!  But now I will call it my trade mark!

I don't mind doing spidy andd any other popular ones. For me it's a confidence thing, I know it's going to come out well, and not worry if it's going to be ok or not. I'd much rather face that than one I haven't gotten down pat yet. Plus I think the face (spidy) is so recoginizable it's an easy pick for the boys, parents too.

I have been thinking of some other super heroes to add: the thing and fire guy (not his name) from fantastic four. I have been asked for iron man, gotta work on that. Is there ANY detail to make that fun? I was watching the Penguins of Madagascar w/ my boys and started painting penguins and prince julian on my arm. It was fun. Turned out pretty well. Gotta keep thinking....aaaaalways thinking!

I like Wolverine too, but I haven't received a lot of requests for it yet... Even less of Ironman.  Transformer seems really popular.  I only added it to the mix recently, but it's really requested a lot.

The Hulk got requested a lot when I first started out, but it seems to have fallen out of favor.  If you come up w/ any good new superhero faces, I'd love to see them.  I'm always interested in good boy designs.

Recently I have had requests from young little guys for "BEN TEN"  I had to google them!  They kind of look like transformers!  I was talking to my girl friends 4 year old grand son, he was telling the good ones and the bad ones!  But I can't remember a thing he was rambling on about!  All I keep hearing was Ben Ten, Ben Ten!

I have been known to wear my face painting to bed!  And it is just like magic!  I get two pictures of my facepainting when I wake up!  One that I went to bed with, and one face painting will be on my hubby's chest! HAHAHAHA  Just a little smugged!  But I try to wash it off before bed time!
