I do see now that there is alote of vendors in the USA that are selling TAG paints, mostly the vendors who sell DFX are now selling tag paints, and I think the prices are the same for both, well at least a few of the sites I checked out. Also my friend Anna from Jestpaint is selling Tag now and the prices are the same as her DFX paints.

I always use partyXplosion. this is a famous dutch brand and quality is perfect.
Good covering aqua face paints. They have also a wide range of splitcakes.
Especially the splitcake pallets, I like verry much. There are many websites
were you can find these products.

After this big discussion about TAG, I'm thinking I'd like to try them the next time I need some basics.
And I never heard of partyXplosion before either.  Just goes to show me that I don't have to feel helpless - like  what would I do if the one or two places that I knew
went out of business.
It's a big world.  And we can find it all here on the web.

Agreed - I find tag/ dfx almost the same. And the diff could be in the age of what I have or the way I use them...
In the UK DFX is generally quite a lot cheaper than TAG though, I priced all the brands out per g/ oz etc so I generally stick to DFX.

Nope not heard of Partxplosion paints either and I used to be in the Netherlands a lot - most I knwo from there were using the 'normal' big brands or Eugenspiele or that other one the Wolfes are now sponsored by that stinks...

I was talking to a fellow face painter and she said that when it comes to bouncy castles that she uses the benye powder paints and it holds up fairly well.  I always thought that wolfe was one of the better brands to use.  What do you guys think?  Have anyone used benye before?

Yes, I think the Ben Nye powders are gorgeous.  I only bought one though, because it was small and pricey.  I don't know what they have out now.  I bought mine a couple years ago.

Okay, so now I am told that although the ben nye paints hold up longer they are harder to use.  You have to use a lot of water to activate them....wolfe is easier.

This is where I ordered my tag "pearl" colors:
http://www.facepaintforumshop.com/servlet/the-TAG-cln-Pearl/Categories

I ordered the blue, green, orange, red, old gold and the neon colors.
Old gold is so shimmery in the sun, otherwise it looks more like a copper.

The neons I bought to make my own rainbow cakes.
I filled 3 mini cake containers, an fx big rectangular cake and a fx round cake.
The best part is that I still have more than half of each color left!
Making your own rainbow cakes is truly cost effective.

I was cutting up assorted brands and notices that my snaz cakes are harder
and break up a LOT while cutting. However the tag, dfx and wolfe colors were
soft like clay. It was great working with them!

These are the Tag "Pearl" colors that I purchased:
green, red, sky blue, orange and old gold.
The curly qs are made with the old gold.
You can tell it goes over the other colors well - no transparency or mixing issues.
Really nice paints. The orange is my least favorite, but I might try it with tigers in the future.
