I was surfin around, looking at other local artists website. Check out makingfaceschicago.com OOOOOhhh LA la. Very creative ideas and wonderful cartoon style. I am no competition for her. Wonder what she charges! Now, I want to try some of her ideas and work up new ones of my own!

Yes, she's amazing! I think she mentioned instructing at FABAIC? I'd love to see her painting in action. Some of her face paintings look like they might take forever. How about Marvelous Masks, he makes tons of videos and I think he's in your area too? Looks like there's a lot of awesome face painting going on in Chicagoland.

Oooooo...I really like the idea of the nose being the animal's belly. I am totally bookmarking these to try!

Those are adorably amazing! Love the panda and the ladybug eye design. Must try those out!

most people down here would never pay that price....however, in houston, they probably would. i am beginning to get much better and more confident...i sure wish that there were some conventions here..i sure would love to go to one....i do agree with her...charge what you are worth...right now, i think i'm in the ballpark

i don't know what her actual price is..she was just stating prices in the article that she wrote....i couldn'tget away with that...but now maybe someone like you or any of the ones on this sight could....I'm not that good yet...but i'm hanging in there...it is so good to see other's work...there are so many different ways to paint something and make it look good. We are all looking for faster and easier ways and new ideas to paint things....so it helps alot...and those of us who are new at this really need this information to get started... i think we have all been in this position one time or another...lol. If i cuold do this 24-7 I would!....i just wish we had more people down here that are willing to teach a class...we have no one that i know of....seems like most everyone is in either Florida, the east or west coasts.....i keep hearing about all these conventions and none of them are here...duh :

Oh my goodness! The missing piece - To Use the nose-mountain instead of making it disappear. Bravo.
I think it was only Once that I did that. I designed a really neat penguin - using the nose as a beak. Had been really disappointed that it was never (or maybe once) requested.

Just checked out her site, very nice!! She really has great linework. I'm up in the air about the whole nose thing. Most look cute, but some just make the nose look huge!

OK, I tried a few of these. Obviously I need more practice, but they weren't too bad for a first try. I really like this unicorn and am adding her to my board.... Then I did the polar bear. I realized after doing him that his feet need to be bigger and kinda take up the apples of the cheeks. And the arms are too small as well. Then the monkey and it is the linework that I found hard on this one. Particularly on my ADHD child that wiggles everywhere! lol! but all in all, not bad for a first try and I will give them another shot to get better! Beth

These are so cute!
I've wondered about some of her designs. The nose ones look a lot like cheek art, so I wondered if it would be tricky on wiggly kids.
I really like the Unicorn one too. I printed it out, because I plan on trying it soon.

Yes, the unicorn was not too hard. I used it twice last Saturday and all good. Once it was just a horse, for a boy that wanted a horse. Notice though I left off the second ear that she had placed by the horn. I thought it looked weird there...anybody else think so?

Yeah, I see it now that you've mentioned it. If you ignore the horn, it looks like the unicorn is facing you, but with the horn in there, it appears to be a side view with an ear growing out of the unicorns nose/forehead area.

OK, good, glad I'm not the only one thinking that ear was odd!
