Can anyone give me any tips on getting paint to dry? I paint a face....then before i put onthe next color, sometimes the paint isnt dry....then the colors mix and mess up everything....i figure that by the time i do some of the outlining, the paint would be dry....how do you solve this...especially when you are doing something small and you don't have time to wait for it to dry...maybe i am putting on too much paint as the base? hmmmm, not sure what to do Huh? :Smiley

yep - sounds like too much water... for smaller pieces try to keep the brush on the dry side...
another tip may be to get a clean dry sponge and tap the design... this will absorbe extra water but you will still need to give it some drying time.

Vi, when i watch your videos, you put on alot of paint..then all of a sudden the white....your white never gets muddy looking... i do see what you mean by too much water in the paint....but it looks to me like you are using alot of paint on that brush...and alot of water when the sponge is wet.... so what am i doing wrong...it doesn't happen all the time....

Way less water, if you want to watch my video on mixing you can.

I only dip the very corner of my sponge in water, you only need a tiny bit to get it going.
