I want to share this project with this forum first! Wow wee wow! I was getting all my stuff ready to go to class tomorrow. I have a 6 fold white folding table that I leave in the back of my explorer all the time, it fits perfect, along with my tall captains chair in it's black bag! The rear end of my SUV has become my office for face painting! HaHaHa. Remember that I told you gals that I bought a rolling tool box, I just love it! It has a large compartment on the top, where I store my two cases of paints. Three pull out drawers, first drawer stores extra paint cakes, split pots, glitter, detailz, hair ties and hair clips, comb and brush for me! Second drawer is my paper drawer! It stores business cards, paint catalogs, tablet of paper, my appintment book, ink pens, flyers. Third drawer is deeper than the first two. I store in that one q tips, two boxes of wipes, paint brush container, extra brushes, 6 clean black towels, water pots for brushes, camera, and who knows what else! The bottom of the box has a drop down drawer. In there I store my large photo album, 8 large poster boards with cheek art, three flip books for kids to look at, water bottles, two table clothes, folded up into one gallon zip lock bags, a jacket for me, and my COFFEE CUP! Hahaha Here is my new love! That I want to share! I will take plenty of pics and post them for you gals to view, I an in love with this! I thought and thought today. As I have used this toolbox about 6 times now, I kept think about a table top, on top of it! Hmmm! This morning I drew out some plans and took some measurements. My hubby came home and I meant him in the driveway! I said oh honey can you help me! He is wonderful, yes what do you need? Ahh build me a table! He did and it is 46 inches long! Fold into the middle, and attaches to the top of the toolbox! I use two black mehtron cases to store my cakes in. These two cases now set into the table top! OMG it's great! Funny the toolbox has 4 holes on the side, must be where you could hage screw drivers from. But my honey drilled four holes into the box and now I secure the table top to the holes I wasn't using! it works wonderful. And he put gold hendges and a gold lock to hold the box closed! and a leather strap for carrying! I can close it up and keep my paints right in it! It will work great for the one hour party! Everything in one trip. He sanded it all down for me, and tonight I am going to paint it black. Maybe detail it later! I plan on using it tomorrow at class! I said I would come up with some thing! Hope fully I will post some pics on Sunday when I return from class.

Well you got it together girlfriend....you are doing better than me...i have a square rolling cart and it hold all my stuff...all i asked my husband to do today is cover a board for me so I could lay it across the top and let kids sit on it instead of carrying a chair...however, it never got done....lol. I guess i will still take a chair as there might be some really hefty kids that would break it...lol....you are one lucky woman Gina! can't wait to see the pics!....

Well I just put coat number two of paint on my folding table! I think that will do for tomorrow to use it. But I will change it completely this week I know! I think I will do some detailing with the air brush! Is your rolling cart about the size of a milk crate? I seen some like that at walmarts. Kind of looks like a milk crate on wheels. if your kids set on it while getting painted, does it hurt your back to bend down? I have to be very careful, I have had two back surgeries, and I still have three herniated disc's. This new set up is preety high to paint off from when standing, helps keep my back straight, also I use a tall captains chair. I got that from E Z UP. They are pretty costly, $100.00 each, but my gals from my sexual assualt group bought it for me in Aug of last year as a gift, because I do so much painting for my group parties with the kids. Nice present. And I still take a medal regular size chair, for those bad back days, and my hubby figured out how to hook that to my toolbox also! One trip from the car and good to go! Yee Haa!

Gina that sound's brilliant. I have a Stanley Cantilever box and cut 3 hard board shelves and the slot in the bottom so I can use it in an emergency or if I am in a tight space. I might take a picture later. Your set up sounds much more classy though look forward to seeing it.

Well today was a very long day, I taught my first class today! It went amazingly well! Great bunch of painters, some very new, some painted for just a very short time, one guy, yes guy! Had never had a brush in his hand until today! By the end of the night he was a painter! And lovin it! But some time tomorrow I will post some pics of my class, I'm just to tired tonight to down load the pictures! But I did want to tell you gals about my table top! It worked far better than I dreamed of! And the interest in it was out of this world! They fell in love with it! Everyone stayed to watch me pack up! They were amazed. And in my busy class I was all set up before anyone came and I was just getting ready to take pictures to show you gals of my set up, and all my students arrived at once! Got so busy introducing myself, I forgot pics! So tomorrow when I clean all my kit up, I will set it up and take some good pictures to post. It was a hit thou!

Thank you all, and no my set up is not heavy at all! I am so in love with this, well for this week anyways, until my mind moves me again! But I think it will be great for this Saturday, I have four gigs in one day! 9am to 11am - children family walk in the park, 12pm to 1pm - just a one hour birthday party, 2pm to 6 pm relay for life, and 7 pm to 11 pm - I will be painting at the first night opening of the speedway track! I will be ready for them little boys with my tire track face! HAHAHAHA watch, none will want it! I have my map all printed out, looks like I will make one big circle! Hope I don't get caught in traffic, there is no time for that! So this will work great, set up, tear down and go, set up, tear down and go! We'll see! Getting ready to clean my kit from last night, so I will take some pics and post them

don't get me wroing girls...wouldn't trade him for all the puppies in the pet shop...but sometimes, my husband is a real paint in the ...well, you know what!....Sometimes it's just easier to do things yourself. Then again, if I told him it had deer, dog, or fish on it, he would jump right up!...i guess i'll let him hang around a while longer

Oh my hubby! He is a great man. My love and my best friend! BUT! I am a carpenter's daughter! So building was always in my blood. I had a woodcraft business before my face painting adventure for over 30 years. I don't think there is a tool or power tool that I can't use and that we don't have! So I just happened to catch him before he came into the house, so we could go to the shop together (our garage) But had he not came home at that time, I would have just been producing my table myself. I can roof, side, build a house if needed! About the only thing I can't and WON"T do is work on a dang car! I hate the grease! Gotta draw the line some where!

O.k. I have to brag on my hubby (especially since he's a member of this board, wink, wink ), when it comes to cars, because he loves to work on cars and is good about taking care of the car stuff. I don't have any interest in car related things. It's other things I need help on that it's like pulling teeth. Did I mention he's great with kids and a great father?

I guess I owe it to 35 years of being married! (35 years on July 1st) I was able to mold him! HAHAHAHA And brain wash him I guess! He is a plasterer by trade, for the past 25 years, but my father was a carpenter, he had his own business building homes, so Harold (my hubby) started working for him at age 14 and he taught my hubby everything, thank you dad for molding my man! But he is into cars also! I think he can tear one apart, throw all the pieces in a box and rebuild it. So I tease him about being a grease monkey! I hate grease. But in 35 years we have only had to take a car to a garage one time to get fixed, and that billed killed us! and only once in 35 years have we had to have a repair man come to our home, that was to fix a TV! He's a great man, and my best friend! He is a very hard worker, devoted daddy and a great best friend and husband.
