HELP!!! I am supposed to paint faces at my church's vacation Bible school. I need to offer 5 different animal faces... a monkey, a mouse, a spider, a dolphin and a pelican. I have the 1st four faces designed but I'm really STUCK on the pelican. Has anyone out there done a pelican face to give me some ideas on what to do with that one. I'm kind of thinking a swan with a shorter neck and the long beak... but I can't get it to look like anything fun. HELP!!!!! Blessings to one and all!

I don't have a pelican face... sounds tricky and not attractive! I'll see what I can come up with.

I know this doesn't sound very attractive... which is why I'm struggling. All the other critters are full face designs and really cute... which is another reason I'm groping in the dark here. AARRRGGGG!!!! Any suggestions you can come up with would be GREATLY appreciated! (they need a smily face icon that is pulling it's "hair" out! LOL!)

Did I mention that I'm terrible at painting on myself? I totally messed up the tree, but did the best I could... it's an idea.

I am impressed Sherry! You did just fine painting on your self! Every year in the summer I have four churches that I do vacation bible school paintings, the churches will contact me about one month ahead of time , they will tell me their theme and I will study it and research it, come up with about 10 choices, make a board, and then.............yes you guessed it! No requests! At first I would tell the kids, that we have to stay within their studies! Then the teachers would say, ahhhh go for what ever! Whew so glad on that! But I saved the sheets that I made up just incase I get an ther church with the same theme, I was told they pass lessons around each year.

I've never had a request for a pelican, but that's what I love about this site, challenges to think outside the box filled with cats, spidermen and butterflies. Here's my idea for a quick pelican(still being inspired by the nose lady). D

Sherry you are WONDERFUL!!! These are terrific designs for me to work with. Since I'm just starting I'm hoping to get more Vacation Bible School gigs. If you don't mind Gina... I'll get throw up the SOS signal to see if you have tackled any of themes I may run across. I really appreciate both of you pitching and helping this rookie Thanks!!! - Lori

Too cute Twink. Did you try wiggling your face around with it on? I saw a video Margi Kanter made of her nose designs and the kid wiggled their face and it looked like the creature was moving. Adorable! In the full face design, I used Snaz yellow, orange and red. Then DFX blue and black.
