I had only been face painting for one week, and my face painter friend called me and asked if I would like to paint bodies! Eight girls in eight hours! I didn't think it would be too hard, so I said yes! We went to a large university here in Michigan and started painting at 12 noon, we had to be done by 8pm! We finished at 7:45! I never worked so hard in all my life! It was for a fashion show and the theme was "call of the wild" so each gal was done as an animal or a bird. I spend a week drawing and planning for it, I had ever line and color planned out on a templete. We got paid $700 , but I would never do that again for that little of money. We had to average one girl an hour, so luckily I took my airbrush and compressor just in case I needed it! And yes I base coated everyone first, Thank God for my airbrush! And then we detaikled by hand. It was very rewarding by a lot of work in a short time. First the gals were going to be nude with just some thongs on, but the person in charge bought them all these big tube tops and big biker undies, they were hard to cover, so much material! There was newspaper reports and TV stations there, we got asked tons of questions and was introduced as the body painters, so it was great at the end! Here is just a couple pics from that day! Now I am sure I will be doing more body painting, my friend just is in the makes of opening up a studio, and she will be offering body painting, so I will be doing some there. She just produced a body art calender for 2010, it is amazing, but she did it for a benifit project, she worked so hard at it!
