Yay! When it rains it pours, doesn't it? In a good way.
It depends on the festival. They normally start out pretty low key. I've had some where I've been busy all day. Especially in the beginning when I was pretty slow. But you're so busy that time flies. If you're afraid of this happening, you might want to make up a sign giving yourself a rest period. Unless you have someone going with you and can help out. They could shut down the line for a period in the middle of the day to give you a lunch break.
Otherwise, when I need a break, I always head out of my tent as soon as I finish my customers, that way, no one will walk up while I'm taking my break. I had one customer get pretty snippy with me at my last festival, because I walked off to take a call. I walked off in a line of sight, so when they walked up and were waiting at my booth, they saw me on the phone. I guess I didn't get off the phone quick enough. When I came back to the booth to wait on them, they were pretty snippy. In my head, I'm thinking, "Hey, I'm charge here. Get snippy with me, will ya. " lol I was good though and kept my thoughts to myself.
If you need a restroom break, then I've found customers are very understanding and I've never heard a complaint when I tell them, I'm going to run to the bathroom real quick and be right back.
This is so exciting! I'm glad for you.
