How to instruct client in washing off designs
« on: April 30, 2010, 07:15:10 AM »

Does anyone have any way to instruct the mom to wash the designs off?  They say that the paint stains the face.......any tricks other than soap and water?

This is what I have on the back of my business card:
To Remove Makeup:
Use a mild soap, for kids, A dark cloth and tear free shampoo.  Lather, rinse, repeat -- no scrubbing.  Trace stains can be treated by applying lotion, waiting at least 30 minutes and washing again.

I have found that just water will remove most of the makeup, but some colors will stain and will require a little extra.

If it's Wolfe or Diamond FX brand, washing with shampoo, even baby shampoo will take off the stains.  Do an initial wash.  Rinse and then apply the baby shampoo full strength directly to the stain, massage gently, rinse and repeat until the stain is gone.

I've heard baby oil works too, but I haven't tried it.
