JUST A SNAZAROO FYI:

I bought a few colors once. The while opalescent was gorgeous. The green was dried out, so I tossed it.
Months later, I went to the trade show and was told by the owner, "just add a little water to it and mix." Now you tell me!

Also, the glitter gels are pretty, but it you put down your paint and then apply the gel, it pulls some of the paint off. That's why I have bought some of the regular glitter now! Cheesy Cool Huh?

Cosmetic Glitter is made from polyester-not harsh metallic substances so it will not scratch your eyes.
If you are using a glitter spitter (aka poufer) bottle I might recommend just tapping the end of the bottle and less glitter will come out so you can have a little more control over your application.

Wina... I heard that about the glitter gel too, that it can get dried out and just add water to rejuvenate it.

In 3 years that I've been face painting, I've never bought glitter gel, because I really didn't know how you would go about applying it.  I thought the wetness of it would the face paint, or like you said, take it off in spots.  Do you dab it on with your finger?  Paint it on with a brush?

I use glitter gel from Henna Caravan (hennacaravan.com) or make it myself using cosmetic grad glitter and aloe vera gel. I gave up the poofers for a while then discovered that one of my glitter pots lost its top and BLAM! Glitter-City in my kit-ee! YIKES, I have been washing it off stuff for weeks.

Back to the poofer bottles: Tilt 'em back, cover each eye as you poof in the air and watch 'em sparkle! Smiley

I had that happen with one of my pots of loose glitter.  I fumbled with it in my hands and dumped glitter everywhere at a restaurant gig.  SO much glitter!   Shocked  I was mortified, because that's the night that DQ was going to come in and observe.  They were thinking about bringing us on for a family night.

I still prefer my pot of glitter over the poofers... I just need to be more careful.

When I first started doing Glitter Tats I bought the kit from Glimmer Body Art with the screw tops pots. My first party was outside and the glitter was just flying out of the container into the air (it's really breezy where we live.) I was disgruntled because I kept thinking I'm losing money and I was obviously covered in glitter from head to toe. I switched to pouf bottles because they are easier to hold and the shape of the bottle keeps the glitter from flying out in the wind. I use these really tiny brushes to dip into the glitter pouf bottle.
