I put all of my paint in one of those jewelry bead cases. My paints are closer together so it pretty much stays open the whole time I'm painting.

Thanks for your honest opinion Vi.
I want to buy more paints & brushes, but have been having the most difficult time to make a decision on what I really need vs. want.
I'm not a super talented artist so I think I really need to stick to things like rainbow cakes and arty brush stuffs to get a quick wow factor.
Oh I wish I could just make up my mind already.

Ok, I have a couple of questions: Julie: I like the box that is a cascade of shelving. It looks like it just folds up....Do you mind me asking where you bought this?
Vi: Someone said you hold face painting classes. I live in Seattle and there is nothing that I know of here. Do you do online classes or does anyone?
Last question: Where does one find insurance that doesn't do face painting all the time. I can't even do free face painting at businesses, they complain of liability. I don't know who covers face painters. Anyone know where to guide me? Thanks Ramona (Saloner)

World Clown Association sells liability insurance for face painters. You have to join their organization to be eligible to buy the insurance, but you don't have to be a clown to join. It's what I used when I first started out. I thought it was the most reasonable price. Here's their site http://worldclown.com/Now I use Vendor's of America.

I use two pop cycle containers, they have 8 holes in them, one I use for brushes and one for water, you only need about one inch of water in all 8 spots. I put the brushes behind the water container, it works out well, I never have cofferr water at any time. and I use only one hole of water for white only and one for black only, this keeps my white really white when painting, never have muted dull colors! 8 hours of ren faire painting and I changed the water once after four hours of painting. I stopped half way threw, at a slow time and cleaned my paint pallet and changed the water. I never have too much of a messy table, I had to disapline myself to put every thing back in it's place after using it! I am so used to having a place for every thing I can just reach for what I want it it is there. But it took a while to get into that system of working!

Hey Mollie, was it the ice tubes tray? If so, where did you find one? I've never been able to locate one of these to try.

i got it at Walmart...over in the utensil seciton or where you get ice trays...i think it has about 30 holes in it...it freezes long skinny ice....like tubes...it's all white and has a blue bottom....Vi uses this and when i was there i really liked it...it holds alot of brushes..if you use alot...which i do...and it's pretty weighted on the bottom so it won't tip easily like the last thing i was using..i hate it when things tip over....i think Lilly Waters uses one of those too...not sure but i thik i saw it on a pic of her setup....anyway, i will post a pic if you need it...check out VI's setup...i think it's in a pic she submitted...i like it

I searched the Wal-mart, when I was living in Georgia, I'll have to try the one here. I'm not sure I even looked there yet. Thanks.
