Starblends and the heat
« on: May 24, 2010, 05:11:52 PM »

Things have been heating up here in Florida!  I had a couple of events this weekend and people were sweaty, so I broke out the Starblends.  Here's my butterfly and dinosaur with the powders as base.

I don't know what's up with the purple, but I have a heck of time getting it to cover.

I met a guy there that day that said he does marketing for big corporations.  He offered to take a look at my website and said he likes to help out small businesses with their marketing for free.  Aah, wouldn't that be nice?  Smiley  Too bad, I still haven't heard from him, so we'll see!

Yes, the heat is getting brutal & I'm not showing up to any more events as the "drippy" faces painter Grin
I've broken out my starblends & my ben nye(I love the shimmer of these) w/ my dfx for linework.

I don't know how Linda does with the Ben Nye powders, but I have used the Starblends wet before.  I always use them dry now, because I'm used to applying them that way and so it's more comfortable for me.

The Ben Nye are dry & the Starblends were dry, but after last weekends & a water slide, I think I might need to dampen them from now on.... Too much water transferred into them Sad I dried the kids 1st, but their hair dripped.

Sherry, I've never had much luck w/ the Starblend purple. It's my least favorite for coverage.

Last weekend I only had to change my water once for a 4 hour event because I used so little paint & only powder.

A Ben Nye Kitty(only pic I got last weekend)
