Thanks. Same here. My usual one always comes out looking wonky, like a Picasso. I like this one better, but I think I need to lighten the brown.

Do you often get random requests for SD, or is it because that's a design choice in your book/board?
I've never been asked for Scooby - I don't think I'd want to know how he'd turn out if I did!

I love this Sd Sherry! Very well done my friend! My first yesterday, a little four year wanted a rino! Ahhh him and I talked about it, and he guided me along the way, I painted it gray and painted just the profile of it's head and when I finished he said "yup that's a rino by golly" I was happy! But it kind of looked like an over sized dog with a swelled up jaw, pointed little ears and with big teeth and a horn on it's face where our nose would be! hahahahaha But the little tike approved it and gave me the high five hand smack!

Here is a mickey and a minnie you can put in your files for reference. Mickey and Minnie are all done by just drawing circles, if I ever get some time I will break it down for you in a step by step, once you see the break down, it will come easy. Two years ago I took 185 teen agers to disney in Florida, the marching band of our local high school, I was band booster president for 14 years. all four of my daughters were in the band. Three drum majors and one color guard. They all play clarinets, I play nothing! hahahaha I got to spend the day in the artist rooms. I got to draw with all the disney artists. It was so great. I even got offered a job! But my family and my heart belongs to Michigan. But it was a dream come true. I will have to find my pics of the studio work I did and post it. It is even on real Disney paper! This mickey and minnie I did for Valentines day, you know two people in love! hahahaha

Thanks guys. Yeah, I do have Scooby as a choice in my book. I took it out for a while, because it never looked right. I can't paint from memory either, unless it's a design I've had a lot of practice with. With time, I'm learning more and more things, but this Scooby is one I tried from a shirt I received as a present. I thought this Scooby looked much easier than the one I'd been offering, so i tried it. Love the mickey's Gina.

I think that Scooby is wonderful! I also think that we tend to be harder on ourselves than our clients are! I know I am a perfectionist, and I am never really happy with what I do, but my kids especially are always incredibly impressed!!! Makes me feel like I am on cloud nine. Like this little boy that I painted a couple weeks ago, wanted a skating half pipe, and a skateboard. I told him I will try. When I was done, he was so happy. The grandmother gave me a great tip and as they were walking off the little boy came back and said you did such a great job you deserve a tip. He pulled out his wallet, and gave me all the money he had, 7 cents. That lifted my heart so far, that told me alot, like don't judge your own work so hard, just make those people happy that are getting your art!

Sherry I just love your scooby Doo! I think you mastered that cute little dog! And I love your flowers with just random black here and there, thats how I accent a design, just some broken lines of black.

Love the skateboard and halfpipe. I get worried sometimes with special requests, but I think I'm getting better at them with time. I usually tell people, if I can see a picture of it, I can do it. I'll sometimes wing it now without a pic. Starting out, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
