Anyone freehand their glitter tattoos? I can't remember who I heard it from, but someone said you don't have to let the glue dry clear before using it. After hearing that it inspired me to try a few things. I think waiting for the glue to dry was one of the things I've really disliked about the glitter tattoos. If I didn't get it on extra thin, it seemed to take ages to dry. Anyway, here's a few things I tried yesterday. I couldn't figure out what color to use for the unicorn. White or silver doesn't usually show up very well on light skin, so I didn't want to use that. Any tips are welcome. A little monster and a unicorn.

I just got some glue from Anna over the weekend, just a little bottle to play with! I am going to try some free hand designs and see what I can come up with, I want to introduce some at the next Ren Faire. I will post pictures of what I do. Anna told me to let the glue dry until it is see thru! She also told me that some one told her to add a drop of paint to the glue so you can see where you have put the glue at, as it dries! Some thing to think about! I think I might try some tonight after Stacy gets home from work! Wouldn't want to get so deep into my design and have to stop to care for Hannah! She is pretty darn good thou! I do put her in her swing and I work at the table some times, she just seems to watch grandma be silly! I explain to her every thing that I am doing! So far I have gotten no opinion from her on my work! hahahaha! I love your free hand designs. Was the black detail the last thing you applied? And did you reaplly the glue to do the black detail?

Those are cute Sherry.
I let the glue dry first and sometimes add a small amount of mica powder to the glue for coloring.

Thanks.
Yes, I did the designs in layers and added the black detail last. I'd like time to try some more, but things are so hectic right now. I'm preparing for a festival that starts tomorrow and then parties Sunday, etc. Busy, busy, busy.

my first ever glitter tat! and free handed! Oh I am in love with glitter ever so much more now! I am going to leave it on and see how long it lasts! I have two gigs tomorrow and two gigs saturday! Think the kids will notice my arm! It was fun to play around with. I have glitter up the ------- now! My daughter hit a clearance sale on glitter at clairs in the mall, all cosmetic grade and extra fine. Each container was 25 cents each, and quite a big bottle at that! She bought every bottle they had, ahhhh $35.00 worth! that's 140 bottles of every color you can think of! Got enough to do my whole body in a glitter tattoo! ahhhh just thinking out of the box, too much bling bling! hahahahahaha

Very nice work, Where do you get the glue and do you use the brush in the bottle or are you just using paint brushes?

I went over to Anna's house last week and she gave me a sample from her big bottle! I showered tonight, did the dishes and it is still lookin good! gonna see how long it lasts, I am painting with her tomorrow at a gig, I will ask her what brand it is ok. I used some of my old brushes, I have a ka-zillion of them left over from craft days! well maybe not a ka-zillion, but at least a million! hahahahaha seems like it!

Love it Gina! My festival starts today, so maybe during my down time, I can practice some more too. Hopefully, there won't be any downtime though!

I got my face paints yesterday from you. I'm still trying to figure out how they got to Hawaii so fast from Florida, even after a Holiday! Thank you!
