Aloha Ms. Mollie!

As you know I currently only do Glitter Tattoos, but I want to add face painting to my services. I was just checking out your page and I really think the "Gold Fish" and the Hibiscus Flowers on the legs & feet would go over really well here in Hawaii.

Would you be willing to share your techniques/tools for creating these? I'm a total newbie so if you can help act like you are teaching a 5 year old haha

hey there...on the leg designs i just used my good ol' Donna Dewberry techniques...very wide brush...arty cakes or two colors together that i made myself. Seems like i have alot of split cakes now and less solids? wonder why...however, it's working good...even though i split someof them in half to use two color at the same time, there's still enough of the cake to use with a sponge for a solid color. I would just go to Donna DB on Youtube and watch her strokes...that is where i learned everything....Also, another brush with a "rounded" end called a "filbert" is really handy for flower petals....There are a few 'specialty' brushes that i need and that's one of them....

the gold fish was fun and kids like it...the mouth is a bit tricky though but once you figure it out you got it....i have to go back and see what i posted cause i can't remember..duh Undecided

HAVE ANY OF YOU TAKEN AND PUT A SOLID WITH A METALLIC IN A SPLIT CAKE? i DID WITH THE METALLIC WHITE AND PLAIN PINK...HOWEVER, THE METALLIC WHITE SURE DOES SEEM A BIT SOFTER THAN THE PINK...I GUESS THAT'S OK...

I do load up a sponge with the metallic white and then swipe a flat color with it to give it a sparkle, and I love the way that works!  Metallic paints are my new LOVE!  Does some thing special to a princess or eye art design, gives it a touch of WOW!
