This is hard!  I guess it would depend on which color selection you prefer?

I am in love with DFX paints, they are bold and bright and the coverage is amazing. But I have a new love DFX metallics! OMG it changes the whole look of the design.  I have been using them for even boy designs like monster masks, they are great!  I do use paradise black and white, I love them too!

A friend of mine sells Diamond.  She says the forumla are different.  Less perfume with Diamond, and more wax in one of them ... but I forgot which.

There is a plum metallics in Wolfe that is yummy.  But, I adore all of the other metallics in DFX.

I lean a bit towards Diamond, but Wolfe is still a great product

I am constantly cutting up my paints and making split pots.  I buy little one inch by one inch square containers from hobby lobby and make my own split pots, I think Vi has a great video on making split pots on you tube.

Do you easily use up your split cakes?  I find that I have favorites that get used up, but then I have others that linger on.  I think I've had some for over a year, maybe almost 2 years and can't seem to use them up.

oh if only mine would last that long!  The little small split pots that I buy from DFX (Anna) goes go very fast, you know the ones in the flip top container. The only thing I hate about them is the middle disapears first! No matter how much I try to swipe from the top  and bout and retreave color there the middle is the first to go! I love them but boy they go fast.  I cut my own   from 32 or 45 DFX and put them into one inch by one icnh square pots and they last longer. Maybe I am just noticing it over the past two months because I have been painting so very much.  Yes I do have about 6 split pots that are only 1/4 gone from last year June come to think of it.

Some splits get used pretty fast (I make my own splits, and much prefer deeper amounts of paint to those teensy ones - what, they're like less than a cm deep?!), and some I never do, even though they seemed like a good idea...haha.

Maybe cut those ones you don't use up? Put them back with their mother cakes, or rearrange the colours?

I had a kryolan pink/interferenz pink/intf gold/yellow split - made before I'd really understood that the intf are really too sheer to be paired with the bolder kryolan - and have only used it maybe a half dozen times in the last year. I just separated it and now that space is ready for a new split! I may take apart my kryolan green/neon green/yellow/gold split, too - used to use it for leaves, but I have a DFX green/lime that I looooove now for leaves!

Gina, do you use cuts from your 32gr and 45 gr pots together? I want to make a new split, but that would be cutting into both sizes, and I haven't quite wrapped my head around how to do that Tongue
